Upon arrival to Juliaca Airport. Reception and transportation to the Hotel where you will receive an aromatic coca tea to stimulating for the height, will have the free morning to rest and also we suggest you have a light lunch in your hotel or in one of the surrounded.

In the afternoon we will visit the Chullpas de Sillustani (pre-Columbian funerary towers). The landscape is impressive, in a beautiful setting on a peninsula on Lake Ayumara about 32 km from Puno.

Most of the Chullpas of Sillustani date from the Inca occupation period in the 15th century, the engineering involved in their construction is more complex than anything built by the Incas.

Breakfast at your hotel. At 06:45 am. You will be picked up from your hotel and then transferred to the pier to take the motor boat to the Floating Islands of the Uros. Upon arrival we walk through the reed islands and interact with the natives. Many fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating islands of the Uros, they use the bulrush, a type of reed that grows in the lake, to create the conditions that ensure that the islands stay afloat. The roofs are waterproof and the houses are extremely humid due to the surrounding water. After the visit, we can ride a reed boat (extra charge US $ 7.00).

Then we go to “Isla Taquile” (2:30 hours). Upon arrival, we walk slowly along a narrow path towards the town inhabited by native Quechua, and you will have the opportunity to explore around the main Plaza and take pictures of Lake Titicaca. Then we walk to a local restaurant for lunch.

We will return to Puno in the afternoon, night at your hotel.

Early breakfast, we will pick up all guests from their hotel before departing by tourist bus (shared service) along the Ruta del Sol. Depart from Puno by guided bus to Cusco. Visiting on the route picturesque towns, important archaeological and cultural sites such as Raqchi, Sicuani, La Raya (highest point of the route at a height of more than 4,335 meters above sea level) and Pukara, Iglesia de San Pedro in Andahuaylillas. We will have a buffet lunch in Sicuani approximately halfway there. Then we will arrive in Cusco and transfer by private vehicle to our hotel.

Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, our staff will be waiting for you for your transfer to the Hotel, where you will receive a courtesy coca tea to help in case you have altitude sickness, you will have the morning free to rest and we also suggest you have a light lunch in your hotel or one of the restaurants in the area.

At 1:30 p.m. The City tour around the city begins, during which we will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Koricancha (temple of the sun) and also visit other archaeological centers such as the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Qenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. The tour ends at 6:30 p.m. approximately in the main square to be able to dine in one of the exquisite restaurants in the area, then we will transfer to the hotel so that you can rest.

Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:15 am. We start the full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We begin by visiting the colorful market of Pisac, located at the entrance to the Sacred Valley and followed by Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied town on the American continent. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with its canals that have not changed since Inca times, evoke its ancestral heritage, lunch in a typical restaurant. Then we will visit Chinchero, it is believed that this is the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. Finally, we will return to the main square of Cusco at 6:30 p.m. approx.

The night is free to eat at the restaurant of your choice; although we always have many suggestions for you in case you need them.

5:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel and take you by private bus to Piskacuchu (2700 masl), (also known simply as km 82). Our private bus will stop in the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley for approximately half an hour to give people a chance to have breakfast. Then we will cross the Vilcanota river and follow the path to the right as it rises steeply from the river. We will descend to the Cusichaca river. We will also have an excellent view of the Inca ruins of Llactapata (also known as Patallacta on some maps). Llactapata 2750 masl means ‘upper town’ in Quechua and was mainly an agricultural station used to supply Machu Picchu with corn, the basic crop of the Incas. Llactapata consisted of more than one hundred buildings, houses for workers and soldiers, including five baths. We will continue walking for 7 more km on the left bank of the river to the small town of Wayllabamba (3000 masl). We will arrive at our camp at 5:00 p.m. and after settling down a bit you can relax and have a hot drink and snack with your team of porters We will spend the night in our tents.

On the second day we will wake up at 5:30, we will leave Wayllabamba behind and we will begin the most difficult part of the trek. After breakfast at 6:00 am, we begin our walk, following the left bank of the Llulluchayoc River for approximately 1 hour takes you to “Tres Piedras” and a small bridge over the Huayruro River. A little further on, you will enter a beautiful cloud forest passing a waterfall. 4 more hours of walking through a steep forest we will pass the highest point of the hike called “Dead Woman’s Pass” (4,600 masl), where you can experience the feminine spirit, a woman who lives on the mountainside. The descent from this mountain is steep although not difficult. From here we begin a 2-hour walk to our second campsite (Pacamayu 3,600 masl), where we will have our lunch. There are sanitary facilities here. In the camp we will rest around 18:30 Hr.

We will have our breakfast at 06:00 Hr. This is the longest day of the trek, but also the most impressive as we will visit many Inca ruins along the way. From the Pacamayo camp it will take us approximately one hour to climb to the ruins of Runkuracay (3800 masl). These circular ruins occupy a dominant position overlooking the Pacamayo valley. After 45 minutes of walking, we will finally reach the top of the second pass: Abra de Runkuracay (4000 masl). At last you will feel that you are walking on the Inca trail with paved, for the most part, original. The descent down the steps is steep so be careful. After about 1 hour from the second pass,

Arrival to Sayacmarca (3624 masl) by a magnificently designed stone staircase. After the visit we will have 25 min. to Chakicoccha (3,600 masl) where we will enjoy our lunch in a natural environment and an incredible landscape. After lunch we have a one-hour walk to Phuyupatamarka (3,600 masl), from this point we will have an easy two-hour walk to Wiñnahuayna (2,600 masl), where we will install our camp and our chef will make a good buffet for everyone so that we can say goodbye to the chefs and the porters in a very nice way at 18:30 Hr. We will also visit the Inca ruins of Wiñay Wayna, spending approximately an hour and a half there. Our guide will explain the importance of the site and combine all the information provided during the trek so that you are fully prepared for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

On the last day, we will get up at 03:30 a.m. After our breakfast, we will wait at the checkpoint to be one of the first groups to start walking when the doors open at 5:30 a.m. We will say goodbye to our team of porters and chef and then we will go to Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku). From where we will have excellent views of Machu Picchu and all the surrounding mountains. Here we will have 20 min. to rest. From then on we have 10 min. to the lost city of the Incas; Macchu Picchu. Here the Inca trail ends and we will enter one of the seven wonders, Machu Picchu. When entering the city, we have to pass the second checkpoint to leave our bags and it will cost you 3 soles for each backpack, which is necessary. We will have two hours guided in Machu Picchu. We suggest that after visiting Machu Picchu you take the bus to Aguas Calientes no later than 2.30pm (assuming the train leaves at 4.30pm). Buses run every 15 minutes. Check with the guide for the actual times. This leaves you plenty of time in the ruins to climb Huayna Picchu (must be arranged in advance). It takes about 1 hour to go up and 40 minutes to go down. Most people, however, leave the ruins around 1:30 PM and return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (in the ruins there is only one restaurant and it is very expensive). There are several small restaurants in Aguas Calientes to suit all budgets. You may also want to visit the famous hot springs in town, which is very relaxing after a long walk. The entrance costs US $ 3. After this we will take our train to Cusco and then we will transfer you to your hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel. Coordinated transfer to the airport to return to Lima. End of the Perú Vacation Package 11 Days.
