Machu Picchu is located in the jungle; In other words, it has a warm but at the same time humid climate, so the type of clothing that we recommend using is:

If you travel to Machu Picchu during the rainy season (November – April), the best option is to bring a raincoat as well as water and wind resistant clothing.

Even if it’s hot in the morning, always carry a warm garment with you. It can be annoying to have to carry it during the visit to Machu Picchu, but it is better to be prepared for the afternoon wind.

Polo shirts and / or shirts with long sleeves (preferably) to avoid insect bites and / or annoying burns on the tours to Machu Picchu.

Cap and sunglasses. A light, comfortable cap will keep you cool. The lenses will allow you to appreciate all the beauty of Machu Picchu without having to strain your eyes.

Blocker and repellent. They are absolutely necessary, especially the repellent since the itching of the bites can ruin your visit to Machu Picchu. If you think that critters have a particular liking for you, I would also recommend not wearing short clothing of any kind.
